Another Week Gone By...

I don't have much to blog about right now, but it's been a really low key day so I feel like I should because I have the time. Sooo, in no particular order, here are some photos from the last week:

Sophie and Daddy before church

Sophie and Mommy cheering for the Seahawks last Sunday. It was a great game and we got the win!

My mom bought her this "fan" shirt when the Seahawks were playing in the Super Bowl last spring. She has grown a few inches since then, so I was happy that it still fit!

My school participates in a one-mile run at the BYU track every year. Sophie and I went down to watch (although we spent most of our time climbing the bleachers), and had a good time cheering for the kids. Noah Webster took 1st place this year!

Right now we are house-sitting at my aunt's in Provo. It's been fun to get out of our little house and have room to run and play. Sophie's favorite game right now is "I'm gonna get you!"

Silly girl

Sophie also had an 18 month check up this week (separate post on that later), and we found out her iron is a little low (although you wouldn't know it based on her energy levels). It's most likely a combination of family history, her becoming more picky about meat and veggies, and too much dairy. For now, we are replacing one glass of milk with a green smoothie to help her levels come up. She loves them!

Before Church

Today we were ready for church a few minutes early (a rare occurrence). I decided to use the extra time to take some pictures of Sophie in her cute Sunday dress. I got only a couple worth sharing, and I can't decide which one I like better - they are two different sides of her, but I love them both ♥

September Days

September seems to be flying by... We've been busy this week (just like the last few weeks), but not up to much, if that makes any sense. Our days have been filled with my work at the school, Dave's work at home, and playing with Sophie outside when it's nice, and inside when it's not. We go somewhere almost every day, but nothing big or far from home. Our summer was full of activities and all the fall festivities are just around the corner, so it's been nice to have this period where we can just be home and have a normal routine. Overall, life is great.

Here are some pictures from this week:

Sophie LOVES her little stroller and baby. We have started to hide the stroller in the closet because as soon as she sees baby she wants to take her out for a walk.

Grandmari came to visit for a few days, which is always fun! Sophie is eating a chocolate chip in this picture, which is why her smile is not much of a smile :)

Fun times in the swing. I can't believe how much bigger she looks this year compared to last year

Silly girl at the playground. It's been raining lots, so the playground can't be that dirty, can it?

We LOVE how close we are to the aquarium. This week we've already visited 3 times, and I just may go back again on Saturday. We are also thrilled that the aquarium just opened an indoor, 4,000 square foot playground - it's going to be great for the cold, wet days of winter!

This girl loves to say "bubbles," look at bubbles, catch bubbles, stomp on bubbles, read books with bubbles, etc....  if bubbles are invovled, life is good :)

Fun family night at Scheels - we caught some big ones!

End of August

Fall is in the air, and I am slowly realizing that summer is almost over. This year summer seemed to go by fast and I'm not sure I'm ready to let it go yet. I do love fall, but I know we are going to miss the outdoors when the cold settles in for good. For now though, we are enjoying the crisp mornings and warm afternoons. We've been going on lots and lots and lots of walks, spending time at the playground, and playing with water (her favorite).

Enjoying a snack in the back yard. She got quite the tan this year and is starting to look a lot like the Dora on her water bottle.

"Painting" the back patio with a bowl of water - this kept her entertained for quite awhile!

All the hard work made her thirsty :)

My mom was nominated for the bucket challenge, and in turn nominated Sophie. She loves to get wet so we knew she would be ok taking on the challenge. It wasn't quite ice water, but it did come from the hose and was still cold enough to make her gasp. She recovered quickly though - go girl!

And, on an unrelated note, this week she found a pack of gum, took out each piece, and removed the wrapper. I am glad I found her before she tried to eat them!
